FOR all Bizarre-reading RIHANNA sceptics – there is some news to go with the latest colourful pictures of her.
The singer has MADONNA in her sights in the battle of the UK’s biggest-selling female singles artist ever. The Queen of Pop is occupying the top spot with 17.8million singles sold in the UK. Her highest seller was 1985’s Into The Groove.
Rihanna is in second place with 11.4million sales after just seven years.
She has flogged three million singles in the past year – so is well on track to take Madge’s crown.
And as she’s pictured here hitting an LA studio at 2am, it looks like she’s working hard to land the title sooner rather than later.
The Official Singles Chart have released a list of the ten biggest-selling females ahead of the company’s 60th birthday next month – and not one is a Brit.
The countdown, which also includes the single that netted them the most UK sales, even sees OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN tenth with 6.61million.
Surprised Sinitta never made it. So Macho was huge.
